  1. Hi Folks,
Have been enjoying the site – the list of tug companies has been a great resource in my job search. If I find a place to put my license to work I will be happy to join!

  3. I just happened across your site and I am very impressed. A few years ago I attempted to start up a site aimed at commercial Towboat crews. My site still exists (towboater.com), although I have not updated it much in recent years. My initial goal was to fire up the site as a vehicle for tow boat crew members to participate in and steer what direction it would take. The site received a surprising number of hits (and still does) but involvement has been very disappointing. Other than one or two guys, who ultimately had a political agenda they wanted to push, there has been very little participation. I wrote most of the articles myself, some under a pseudonym, and soon became discouraged. I keep the site up and may get the bug to ramp up my involvement at some point in the future….meanwhile, it has been nice to come across your site. Great work.
