C.G. Administrative Law Judge Program

The U.S. Coast Guard’s Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) program is, for better or for worse, the system that handles the disposition of non-criminal charges filed against U.S. Merchant Mariners by the Coast Guard for violating the many and various federal regulations that we are subject to. Having a basic understanding of how that system works is important to all working mariners and the following information will provide the information you need.
